Recruit Vows
I should never traffic with traitors.
I should treat all members with respect as brothers and Sisters.
I should never act in an elitist way being the best means treating all as equals
I should dedicate myself daily( on days i'm on) to help the kingdoms holdings through work of craft.
I should train daily (on days i'm on) to improve my combat effectiveness.
Guild Rules
Behave in a mature way. We all want to have fun and we all want to enjoy the game and let off some steam. What doesn’t count as mature?
Sexual, racial, or ethnic slurs/insults are not acceptable.
Harassing and bullying other players in game (this has mainly to do with global communication but also includes whispers etc.).
Raging in TS. We all get upset don’t let it boil over to TeamSpeak where you could bother others.
Don’t be a sore loser! It’s good that we win a lot but we do lose. Losing is a good thing it helps you become a better player and learn new techniques. Losing is teaching you a lesson and we encourage learning. To that end when you lose behave yourself.
If you are enraged because of something that happened during combat take some time to step away and blow off steam.
Thank your competitor for the engagement if they are of equally mature mind
Prepare for the next engagement by thinking through what you did wrong as a team and figure out what you can do different.
Respect your guild members. Regardless of your rank we should all treat each other as brothers and sisters in this game. We are a big family and we expect you to show respect to everyone.
Remember you sow the seeds in the way you treat others on how you should be treated.
New recruits should be treated with the same respect as another member. Especially people who are completely new to the game should be treated with kid gloves. This means that running up and smashing a player with 3 hours or 100 hours in the game is strictly forbidden even if you think this “is just playing around” it is not allowed.
Combat. Combat should be engaged in as a group effort.
Soloing is fine as long as you make sure you don't affect any diplomatic relations.
Going off on a Rambo mission expending group resources excessively is frowned upon.
Everything you do affects the guild. Your behavior is a representation of the guild to all outsiders.
“Combat Comms” is a command to stop small talk, stop all crafting talk or non combat related talk, it means stop all arguing. It means all
members should now be focused on combat and work as a team. Teamwork is one of the things that differentiate us from other groups.
Promotions are granted based on several metrics
Doing
People who help on projects outside of the game
People who show leadership skills
Teaching
People who show knowledge on in game crafting/building mechanics and work to help others learn them.
People who show pvp knowledge/skill and work to help others learn them.
Promotions and ranks are a reward for upholding and/or exemplifying the values of this Guild.
Promotions are not a pecking order. That means that we are all equals, and those who have been rewarded with titles/ranks or promotions should always remember you shoulder the responsibilities of bestowing the guild knowledge and expectations on those that are newer and thus lower ranked in the guild.
The guild has high expectations of each member regardless of rank or skill. You are expected to help and support each other.
You are expected to follow all request and Judgement from those above you. If you feel the request judgment was wrong feel free to follow the chain of command to resolve this issue.
Communications
Communication is best done by posting and reading post on our forum, currently found at: vanirsforum.proboards.com/
Use the LOA page (leave of Absence) if you think you will be gone for an extended period of time.
Record important combat events and include pictures and videos
Post interesting or educational guilds/videos to help other guildies
Ask important questions by creating new threads
You are required to use TeamSpeak. There are times we all can’t be on but when in a guild game, we should try to be on, if this becomes an issue it could lead to members being removed from the guild.
Personal property is personal don’t touch others items unless directed to.
Personal items are items found inside houses.
